Il nome “Notturni” richiama immediatamente le celebri composizioni per pianoforte di Fryderyk Chopin, caratterizzate da atmosfere sognanti, intime e spesso malinconiche.
I vasi che portano questo nome si ispirano proprio a queste sensazioni, traducendo in forme visive la delicatezza, la profondità e la poesia che pervadono i Notturni di Chopin.
Come le note di una melodia che si sviluppa silenziosamente nella notte, questi vasi riflettono un’estetica raffinata, capace di catturare l’essenza di un sogno o di un pensiero fugace, con linee morbide, colori tenui e una forma che sembra suggerire il fluire della musica stessa.
I tre vasi Notturni sono realizzati a mano a Murano, soffiati a bocca da maestri vetrai, utilizzando la tecnica decorativa del “vetro incamiciato”, detta anche “vetro sommerso”.
In questo caso specifico la tecnica consiste nell’immergere una massa di vetro nero caldo in crogioli contenenti vetro trasparente fuso, ottenendo così strati sovrapposti, nero all’interno e trasparente all’esterno. Successivamente, il tutto viene soffiato e sabbiato in modo da ottenere l’effetto di suggestiva profondità che caratterizza i vasi Notturni.
I vasi Notturni portano la firma KANZ, e l’anno di realizzazione, incisi a mano sulla base, a garanzia della loro autenticità.

The name ‘Nocturnes’ immediately recalls the famous piano compositions by Fryderyk Chopin, characterised by dreamy, intimate and often melancholic atmospheres.
The vases bearing this name are inspired by these very sensations, translating into visual forms the delicacy, depth and poetry that pervade Chopin’s Nocturnes.
Like the notes of a melody silently unfolding in the night, these vases reflect a refined aesthetic, capable of capturing the essence of a dream or fleeting thought, with soft lines, subtle colours and a shape that seems to suggest the flow of the music itself.
The three Notturni vases are handmade in Murano, mouth-blown by master glassmakers, using the decorative technique of ‘incamiciato glass’, also known as ‘submerged glass’.
In this specific case, the technique consists of immersing a mass of hot black glass in crucibles containing molten transparent glass, thus obtaining overlapping layers, black on the inside and transparent on the outside. Subsequently, the whole is blown and sandblasted to obtain the effect of suggestive depth that characterises the Notturni vases.
The Notturni vases bear the KANZ signature, and the year of manufacture, engraved by hand on the base, as a guarantee of their authenticity.
